Installation Services

Installation is where fabrication either pays off or falls apart — a well-cut piece badly installed still looks like a badly finished job. Our installation crew is our own, not subcontracted, which means the people fitting your stone are accountable to the same team that templated and cut it.

What it covers

On-site installation of countertops, vanity tops, floor and wall tile, cladding, and cut stone pieces we’ve fabricated — or, where you’ve sourced fabrication elsewhere, installation of material you supply, provided it’s been cut to an accurate template. This includes levelling, seaming, sealing, and final fixture reconnection (sinks, hobs, fittings) where relevant.

Who it’s for

Clients who’ve booked fabrication with us and need the installation to close out the job. Contractors who need an installation crew for stone and tile work fabricated by a third party. And anyone whose current installer has fallen through mid-project and needs a team that can pick up cut material and finish the job properly.

How the process runs

  • Pre-installation check — site readiness confirmed (cabinets set and levelled, substrate prepared, prior trades complete) before we schedule the crew, since installing onto an unready site is the most common cause of installation problems.
  • Dry-lay — pieces laid out in position, unfixed, so seams, veining, and cutout alignment can be checked and adjusted before anything is permanently set.
  • Setting and levelling — pieces set, levelled, and seamed with colour-matched adhesive.
  • Sealing — natural stone sealed as appropriate to the material and application.
  • Fixture reconnection and final clean — sinks, hobs, and fittings reconnected, site cleaned, surfaces protected until handover.
  • Handover — walkthrough, care guidance, and any snag items closed out before we consider the job done.

Materials and options

We install marble, granite, quartz, and porcelain across countertops, floors, walls, and cladding, in 18mm, 20mm, and 30mm thicknesses. Installation technique varies by material and application — natural stone floor tile is set and grouted differently from a quartz kitchen counter, and a book-matched feature wall needs the panels aligned to the exact sequence they were cut in, not installed out of order.

What it costs to get started

Installation-only pricing depends on the scope and whether the material is coming from our own fabrication or arriving pre-cut from elsewhere — pre-cut material from another shop sometimes needs on-site adjustment that affects the quote. Tell us what’s being installed and where it currently stands and we’ll price the install.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will you install stone that was fabricated by another company?

Yes, provided it has been cut to an accurate template. We will inspect the material before scheduling installation.

What happens if the site is not ready on the scheduled install date?

We do a pre-installation readiness check before scheduling the crew specifically to avoid this. If site conditions change, we will reschedule rather than install onto an unready substrate.

Do you seal natural stone after installation?

Yes, natural stone is sealed as appropriate to the material and where it is being used.
