An interior fit-out is everything that turns a shell — a bare concrete floor, block walls, exposed services — into a finished, usable space: flooring, wall cladding, ceilings, joinery, and the stone and tile work that ties it together. We run fit-outs for both commercial and residential projects, and we run the stone and tile portion of the work ourselves rather than subcontracting it out, which is the part most fit-out contractors don’t do in-house.
What it covers
A full fit-out engagement typically includes floor and wall tiling, stone cladding and feature walls, reception counters and built-in joinery tops, washroom and pantry stone work, and coordination with the other trades on site — electrical, HVAC, false ceiling — so that stone and tile installation lands at the right point in the sequence, not before services are roughed in and not so late that it holds up handover. For smaller scopes, we’ll take on just the stone and tile package inside a fit-out someone else is managing.

Architects and interior designers who need a stone and tile contractor with real fabrication capacity behind them — not just a supplier who subcontracts cutting to a third party. Contractors and developers running a commercial build-out (offices, retail units, restaurants) who need one accountable party for the stone and tile package instead of chasing multiple subcontractors. And homeowners doing a full renovation who want the whole interior — floors, walls, counters — handled by one team so nothing falls into the gap between two contractors.
How the process runs
We start with a site visit and a walk-through of the drawings, if there are any — if there aren’t, we’ll help block out room-by-room quantities. From there:
- Consultation and scoping — what’s being built, what stage the site is at, what’s already been decided (material, layout) versus what’s still open.
- Site measure and templating — exact dimensions taken on site, not from drawings alone, because as-built conditions rarely match plans exactly by the time stone goes in.
- Material selection — slab or tile selection against the actual template, in person, so you’re choosing against your real dimensions and seam layout, not a swatch.
- Fabrication — cutting, edge profiling, and polishing happen in our own workshop.
- Dry-lay — for larger runs, tile and slab pieces are laid out dry before final fixing so pattern, veining, and seam placement are confirmed while changes are still cheap.
- Installation — our own crew installs; we don’t hand the job to a separate installation subcontractor.
- Handover — final walkthrough, snag list closed out, care guidance provided.
Materials and options
Marble, granite, quartz, and porcelain tile in 18mm and 20mm thicknesses for most floor and wall applications, up to 30mm for feature counters and cladding that needs more mass. Finish options are polished, honed, leathered, or brushed depending on where the surface sits — polished for feature walls and low-traffic areas, honed or leathered for floors and surfaces that need to hide fingerprints and etching. Edge profiles for any exposed counter or sill edges — eased, bevelled, bullnose, or mitred for a waterfall look — are cut to match the rest of the space, not treated as an afterthought.
What it costs to get started
A site visit and initial consultation costs nothing. From there, a firm quote depends on the site measure — area, material selection, and the amount of edge and cladding work involved all move the number, which is why we template before quoting a fixed price rather than estimating off drawings alone.
