Fabrication is the part of the business everything else depends on — cutting, edge profiling, book-matching, and polishing, done in our own workshop on our own equipment. If you already have slab and just need it turned into finished pieces, this is a standalone service; we’ll work from your material and your cutting list.
What it covers
Precision cutting to template, edge profiling in the full range — eased, bullnose, ogee, bevelled, mitred — book-matching for feature walls and waterfall counters where the veining needs to mirror across a seam, honing and polishing to the finish level a piece calls for, and sink and hob cutouts for counters. We also handle remnant work — smaller pieces cut from offcuts for vanity tops, window sills, or hearths, which is often the most cost-effective way to get a small stone piece without buying a fresh slab.

Contractors and fabricator-less stone suppliers who need cutting capacity without building their own workshop. Interior designers who’ve sourced a specific slab and need it fabricated to a precise template. And any client from our own supply or fit-out work who’s already chosen material and is moving into the cutting stage.
How the process runs
- Template — either from our own site measure or a template you supply; we’ll flag anything that looks off before cutting starts, since a bad template is the single biggest cause of a bad fit.
- Cutting plan — for book-matched or seamed work, we lay out the cutting plan against the actual slab’s veining before the saw touches it, so the match is planned, not accidental.
- Cutting and edge profiling — done on our own CNC and manual edge equipment.
- Dry-lay — finished pieces are laid out together before delivery so seams, veining, and edge lines can be checked as a set, not piece by piece.
- Polishing and quality check — final finish applied and every piece inspected for chips, pitting, or edge consistency before it leaves the workshop.
Materials and options
We fabricate marble, granite, quartz, and porcelain in 18mm, 20mm, and 30mm thicknesses. Finish options are polished, honed, leathered, and brushed. Edge profiles run from a simple eased edge through bullnose and ogee to a mitred waterfall edge, where two pieces are cut at matching angles and joined to make a counter edge look like one continuous block of stone running down to the floor. We work with both undermount and drop-in sink cutouts, cut to the sink manufacturer’s template rather than a generic size.
What it costs to get started
Fabrication is quoted per piece once we have a template and a material — the same square footage of quartz and marble can cost differently to fabricate depending on edge profile complexity and whether book-matching is involved.
